With three distinct sub regions it is little surprise that the growing conditions and soil varies dramatically. From sandy loam, basalt plains, river loam to rich volcanic soils, a wide range of grape varieties can be grown here. Encompassing the Moorabool Valley's continental climate and volcanic history, The Bellarine's cool, maritime breezes and the  Surf Coast's rugged coastline and Bass Strait winds, the growing conditions here are no doubt harsh, but this adversity is producing stunning results.
